交感丹의 기억력 및 인지기능 향상 효과
OBJECTIVE : The purpose of this study was to characterize the neuroprotective effects of the 70% ethanol extracts of Gyogam-dan (GGD),a traditional herbal prescription, on the learning and memory impairments induced by scopolamine. METHODS : The cognition-enhancing effect of GGD was investigated using a passive avoidance test and the Morris water maze test in mouse.Drug-induced amnesia was induced by treating animals with scopolamine (1 mg/kg, i.p.). RESULTS : GGD (800 mg/kg, p.o.) administration significantly reversed scopolamine-induced cognitive impairments in mouse by the passive avoidance test (P<0.05).GGD also improved escape latencies in training trials and increased swimming times and distances within the target zone of the Morris water maze (P < 0.05).Furthermore, subchronic administration (for 14 days) of GGD (400 or 800 mg/kg, p.o.) significantly reversed scopolamine-induced cognitive impairments by the passive avoidance task (P < 0.05), and also reduced escape-latency on the Morris water maze task (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS : These results suggest that Gyogam-dan dramatically possesses the anti-amnestic and cognitive-enhancing activities related to the memory processes, and these activities were parallel to treatment duration and dependent on the learning models.[원문 보기 클릭]

사상인(四象人)의 HRV와 체표온도간 상관성에 관한 고찰
초록Objectives : This study was done to investigate the relativity of thermography to HRV(heart rate variability) in Sasang constitutional groups. Methods : We investigated 87 healthy workers consisted of 10 Taeumin, 47 Soeumin, 30 Soyangin. After diagnosing the Sasang constitution by QSCCⅡ(Questionnaire for the Sasang Constitutional Classification), we analysed their HRV -time domain and frequency domain and also checked their thermography in April 2009. Results & Conclusions : Analysing the thermography, The whole skin temperature was showed equaly in many Taeumin, the face,Upper burner skin temperature was showed high in many Soeumin, and the abdomen skin temperature was showed low in many Soyangin. The relativity of the sympathetic index to skin temperature was high in Taeumin. The higher sympathetic index, the higher Upper burner skin tempeature in Taeumin, the higer most of the skin temperature in Soyangin, lower the whole skin temperature in Soeumin.[원문 보기 클릭]

칠정상으로 인한 두통 환자의 심박변이도(Heart Rate Variabillity)에 관한 고찰
초록 Objects : To treat psychogenic headache patients, doctors have to amplify on the headache caused by emotional stress to patients, and assist the patients to cope with difficulties. So, we invesgated HRV of the headache patients caused by Chiljungsang and would like to apply to the clinical treatment. Method : Our study measured time and frequency domain HRV indicies(5-min resting study) of 123 headache patients caused by emotional stress. Standardized tests of HRV allow a quantitative esmation of autonomic nervous system function. Results & Conclusions :1. The study classed as aspects of the head pain showed the differences in RMS-SD(square root of mean squared difference of successive NN intervals) band, HF(high frequency) band significantly.2. The male headache patients showed higher all the indicies except heart rate compared to the female patients, significantly in SDNN(standard deviation of NN interval), TP(total Power), HF band.3. As the patients grow older, SDNN, RMS-SD band was lower and LF(low frequency) band, LF/HF ratio higher significantly. The beginning age lower, SDNN, RMS-SD band was higher significantly. The duration of the disease longer, LF band, LF/ HF ratio was higher significantly.[원문 보기 클릭]

자하거 약침이 βA로 유도된 Alzheimer's disease 병태 모델에 미치는 영향
초록 Objective: Hominis Placenta is used in many cure, mainly treats a weak, chronic disease, especially senile. This research investigates the effect of the Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution on Alzheimer's disease. Method: The effects of the Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution on (1) IL-1β protein, TNF-α protein, MDA, and CD68/CD11b (2) the behavior (3) the infarction area of the hippocampus, and brain tissue injury in Alzheimer's diseased mice induced with βA were investigated. Results:1. For the Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution group a significant inhibitory effect on the memory deficit was shown for the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by βA in the Morris water maze experiment, which measured stop-through latency, and distance movement-through latency.2. The Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution group suppressed the over-expression of IL-1β protein, TNF-α protein, MDA, and CD68/CD11b, in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by βA.3. The Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution group reduced the infarction area of hippocampus, and controlled the injury of brain tissue in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by βA.4. The Hominis Placenta Herbal-Acupuncture Solution group reduced the Tau protein, GFAP protein, and presenilin1/2 protein, beta-secretase protein, (immunohistochemistry) of hippocampus in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by βA. Conclusion: These results suggest...

공황장애의 한의학적 치료 효과 및 예측 인자 연구
초록 Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify predictors of clinical efficacy of oriental medical treatment for patients with panic disorder. Methods: We analyzed medical records of 41 patients who were diagnosed with panic disorder through DSM-IV or ICD-10 by 2 oriental medical neuro-psychiatrists.We performed frequency analy-sis of demographic characteristics in patients with panic disorder, and assessed the correlation be-tween the psychological scales by Pearson correlation.Repeated measures ANOVA were used to com-pare the psychological scales during the treatment;and Single regression analysis was used to analyze the factors that have correlation to improvement of panic disorder by oriental medical treatment.Psychological scales used in the study were STAI-X-1/2, STAXI-S/T, BDI2, BAI, BSQ, PAS, ASI, LOT-R, SWLS, LSES and LSMS. Results: Patients’ demographic characteristics indicated that there were twice more female than male patients;furthermore, there was a high ratio of patients in their 20s and 30s, with the highest percent-age of onset-age in the 20s and average duration of panic disorder from 1∼5 years.More than half of the total patient cohort comprised of those who had panic disorder with agoraphobia and major de-pressive disorder;in addition, major accompanied symptoms were dyspepsia, chest discomfort and headache. After treatment, most scores of psychological scales were...

불안장애에 대한 침 치료 임상 연구의 체계적 고찰
초록 Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical studies which focus on acupuncture's effect on anxiety disorder. Methods: We selected clinical studies through six databases. We then examined the characteristics of the selected studies and conducted an assessment for Risk of Bias (ROB). Results: Seventeen randomized-controlled trials were selected to determine the effects of acupuncture on anxiety disorders. We found that the risk of bias in most studies was unclear. The intervention of 7 seventeen randomized-controlled trials (RCT) was basic acupuncture, 8 RCT involved electric acupuncture, 2 RCT consisted of acupuncture and Moxibustion.Four of the 7 basic acupuncture RCTs and 5 of the 8 electric acupuncture RCTs had a significant effect on anxiety factors for anxiety disorders. Conclusions: Acupuncture treatment for anxiety disorders was found to be effective compared to the controls, or there was no difference in effectiveness compared to the controls. However, the quality of the included studies was low, and there only were a small number of studies. Therefore, well-designed studies and a greater number of the studies are needed.[원문 보기 클릭]
